KABUL (Pajhwok): Two persons have been arrested in connection with the destruction of two power pylons in the Salang district of central Parwan province, officials said on Saturday.
Unidentified miscreants blew up two electricity pylons with landmines in the Takhma area of the southern Salang Pass last night, cutting off power to Kabul and 10 other provinces.
A statement from Parwan police said that two persons (Javed and Mohammad Naeem) were arrested in connection with the incident and they had confessed to their crime.
"The Mujahideen also seized landmines that were meant to destroy the towers," the statement said.
