KABUL (Pajhwok): Former Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abullah Abdullah has stressed over a national mechanism to ensure the protection of core national, Islamic values and rights.
He said this when he left Kabul on late on Saturday for a foreign country to celebrate Eid with his family.
On his Twitter handle, he wrote: “As I leave the country for a few days to be with family during Eid-ul Fitr, I want to offer prayers for the souls of all martyrs who fell victim to terror, while I wish my compatriots Eid mubarak as we end this Holy season.”
“Our country, men & women, need to come together to participate in national mechanisms to decide about the future based on fundamental rights & essential Islamic & national values we hold dear as our nation goes through challenging times. I look forward to a participatory process that will offer solutions soon,” he added.
