KABUL (Pajhwok): Former President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday reiterated his call for the immediate reopening of girls' schools during talks with the US special envoy to Afghanistan.
Karzai wrote on his Facebook page that he had a telephonic conversation with Thomas West, the US special envoy for Afghanistan.
He says West congratulated him on Eid and expressed regret over the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.
He added that the two sides discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and reiterated their hopes for the early opening of girls' schools and for a happy and prosperous future for the people of Afghanistan . . .
