CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): There children have been killed and the Parwan-Bamyan road closed by overnight flash floods in the Shinwari district of central Parwan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Kamran Habibi said the flooding also inflicted financial and human losses on people in the Ashtar Shahar village of the district.
Three children were killed while three others injured. Without giving details, he said the floods closed the Parwan-Bamyan highway.
Technical teams have been dispatched to the area to reopen the road, the police official said.
