KABUL (Pajhwok): Despite Ukraine’s unwillingness, Russia remains open to substantive dialogue, says the Kremlin.
In a telephone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted Moscow’s approach to talks with Ukraine.
A statement from the Kremlin quoted Putin as blaming EU nations for ignoring war crimes committed by the Ukrainian troops.
“The West might contribute to putting these crimes to an end by exerting pressure on Kiev and terminating weapons supplies to Ukraine.”
The two sides also conferred on global food security. “The French side expressed concern over the problem of maintaining global food security.”
Putin claimed the situation had been worsened by Western countries’ sanctions. He underlined the importance of the unhampered operation of the global logistics and transport infrastructure.
