KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The Agriculture Department of northern Kunduz province has said 1,800 tonnes of dairy products were produced last year showing a 30 percent surge in dairy production compared to the previous year.
Milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, curds, and other dairy products are among the most important dairy items processed by manufacturing plants in Kunduz.
Najibullah Hassan, deputy head of the Agriculture Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News last year dairy companies produced 1,800 tonnes of products.
He said these dairy products were produced in 15 factories in which 12,000 people had been working.
