All NATO states to keep sanctions on Russia: Blinken

KABUL (Pajhwok): US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says NATO states are determined to keep anti-Russian sanctions in place for as long as necessary.

Blinken told reporters after an informal meeting of NATO diplomats in Berlin on Sunday: “Every member of the alliance wants to bring this war to an end as soon as possible.”

TASS news agency quoted him as saying: “We are clearly determined to maintain our security assistance to Ukraine, to continue our sanctions, export control and diplomatic pressure on Russia …”

The US and its NATO allies were ready to lend Ukraine as strong support as possible on battlefield and at the negotiation table, he remarked.
