ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Hundreds of contractual teachers in eastern Kunar province complain they have not received their monthly stipend for the past three years.
Jamaluddin Sadat, a resident of Asadabad City, told Pajhwok that he was serving as a contractual teacher in Shegi area but received no salary for the past three years.
He said he had asked the previous and current education department officials to release his salaries but in vain.
He said: “Due to economic hardships, I have to resign as teacher and find another work in order to earn a living.”
