KABUL (Pajhwok): Residents of different parts of Kabul complain about hours-long load-shedding and urge the authorities concerned to resolve the problem.
Farida, a resident of Qasaba area of Kabul, said: “We are supplied electricity for three to two hours in 24 hours, so we are facing many problems.”
“The people of Kabul have been enduring frequent electricity outages since long, one day we are told the power pylons have been destroyed and sometimes the imported electricity is cut off..”
Humayun, a resident of Kart-i-Parwan, said power outages had increased in the past two weeks in their area and people faced difficulties.
Mustafa Omari, a resident of Khairkhana area, said: “We are subjected to frequent electricity outages in 24 hours.”
Tamim, a resident of Cimentkhan area, said the people of this area suffered from hours long blackouts since the two power pylons were destroyed in Salang.
“Sometime we face water shortage because of no electricity and we cannot save more water when there is electricity,” he added.
These Kabul residents urged the Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat to work to reduce the load-shedding.
Pajhwok tried to contact DABS for comment but failed.
