MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Local officials say 550 poor families in Alishang district of eastern Laghman province received food aid on Wednesday.
Qari Noor GulDelawar, the Alishang district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the aid was funded by the emergency relief project, (CAID) and implemented by the Afghan Development Association (ADA).
Delawar said, "Each family was given 75 kg of flour, more than 24 kg of rice, 10 liters of cooking oil, a kilogram of tea, 1.5 kg of pulses and a quantity of soap and other items.”
