KABUL (Pajhwok): National Statistic and Information Authority (NSIA) has collected 521 million afghani revenue from the distribution of Computerized National Identity Cards (C-NIC) in Kabul in the past 10 months, an official said on Wednesday.
NSIA Spokesperson Mohammad Halim Rafi told Pajhwok Afghan News that after resuming responsibility last year they were able to collect 521,966,310 afghanis in the past 10 months.
He said this amount of revenue was collected in C-NIC headquarters in Kabul.
“After the resumption of activities, Macrorayyan center has been able to provide C-NIC services to more than 86,000 people, from which more than 25 million afghanis have been transferred to the government treasury,” he informed.
According to Rafi, about 7.5 million people have received C-NIC since the start of its distribution.
At least 1.7 people received the identity cards after the caretaker government came to power in August 2021.
