KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Education (MoE) on Wednesday inaugurated a largest religious seminary in capital Kabul and said teaching in the facility would start within 10 days.
In a statement, the MoE said the seminary located in Pul-i-Charkhi area of 16th police district of Kabul had the capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 students in one shift.
It said that Education Minister Noorullah Monir, other government officials and religious scholars were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Monir explained the aim of the establishment of the seminary and said that with the directives of the caretaker government such seminaries would be established in every province.
The statement added that the entrance exam for the seminary would be conducted next Wednesday and its lessons would start after 10 days.
