HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): After the takeover of the caretaker government, officials in western Herat province say corruption in the customs offices has been eradicated and so has extortion from traders and investors.
Ahmad Saeed Sediqi, an official of the chamber of commerce of Herat, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Since the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan came into power, corruption in customs offices has been eradicated and facilities created for traders and investors.”
He said the law was equally enforced in customs of the country and it had led to improvement of trade in the country.
