LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Three individuals have been arrested over allegedly smuggling copper and iron to neighboring Pakistan, an official said on Tuesday.
The individuals were arrested in Garamser and Deshi districts.
Hafiz Rashid, director of information and culture department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the detainees had loaded a vehicle with copper and iron and wanted to transfer it to Pakistan.
He said: “The Islamic Emirate will never allow anyone to smuggle the Afghan asset to other countries.”
