FARAH CITY (Pajhwok)): The Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi Port has been converted into the first-ever transit port in western Farah province.
In a statement, the Information and Culture Department said businesspeople would be able to directly import goods from Iran via the port.
Maulvi Hikmatullah Subhani Agha, a land transport official, said: “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to facilitating traders across the country.”
According to the statement, the first transit convoy arrived in the country through the Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi Port. Relevant officials were present on the occasion.
