Bid to smuggle wheat to Pakistan foiled

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Security forces in southern Helmand province have foiled an attempt at smuggling 50 truckloads of wheat to Pakistan on the Kandahar-Herat highway.

Hafiz Rashid, director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News the wheat was being smuggled to the neighbouring country from Washer district.

He promised: “The Islamic Emirate will allow no one to smuggle Afghanistan’s wheat to other countries.”
