KABUL (Pajhwok): An oxygen-producing plant has been made operational in the Shaikh Zahid Hospital in the capital Kabul, according to a statement on Friday.
The plant was inaugurated during a special ceremony attended by Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghyasi and the accompanying delegation, a statement from the Ministry of Public Health said.
Dr. Ghyasi termed the inauguration of the plant vital for the enhancement of the hospital capacity and patents care and added the facility was built with 16 million afs financial support from the European Union, Agha Khan Foundation and Cordid Organisation.
He said the plant has the capacity of producing 40 cylinders which will help in the treatment of patients.
