Takhar mosque gutted due to short circuit

TALOQAN (Pajhwok): A mosque has been gutted as a result of an electric short circuit in northern Takhar province.

Hamir Qarluq, a civil society activist, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Yangi Qala district at a time when people were offering evening prayer at the mosque.

Ansarullah Ansar, director of information, confirmed the incident and said the mosque caught fire due to an electric short circuit. However, the fire caused no casualties.
