SHARAN (Pajhwok): The government has been unable to provide regular electricity to southeastern Paktika province for years, complain residents, shopkeepers and traders, saying the issue has made people’s daily life difficult.
They demanded that the government provide the province with electricity imported from Central Asian countries.
A shopkeeper in Sharan, the provincial capital, called the lack of regular electricity as the biggest problem being faced by residents of the province.
He added that residents currently consumed solar and diesel power from a private company which has low capacity and cannot meet the needs of the customers.
