JALALAABAD (Pajhwok): The Nangarhar Transport Department has banned the entry of unregistered Pakistani trucks into Afghanistan because arms and drugs are allegedly being smuggled in these vehicles.
Nangarhar Transport Department Director QariHanzala Malang told Pajhwok Afghan News the entry of unregistered trucks from Pakistan into Afghanistan via Torkham crossing has been banned.
He said in the past few days up to 15 unregistered trucks were stopped but they were released after guarantees were provided.
Common people hailed the government’s move to ban the entry of unregistered vehicles.
