KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Kalashnikov assault rifles, 13 pistols and a quantity of ammunition brought from Pakistan have been seized in Gardez, the capital of southeastern Paktia province, the intelligence department said on Friday.
The intelligence department said on Twitter that the weapons and ammunition had been smuggled into the province from neighboring Pakistan and had been skillfully placed in a tanker truck.
It comes a day after the intelligence department said security forces seized a rocket, a grenade, thousands of rounds and other ammunition from a house in Khair Kot district of Paktika province.
