KABUL (Pajhwok): The Khak-i-Jabbar Charity Foundation has delivered hens and eggs worth 500,000 afghanis to needy households in the district.
Mohammad Bilal Shinwari, a member of the foundation, told Pajhwok Afghan News each family was given 15 hens and two cocks along with feed, tools, medicines and other equipment for small farms.
With this assistance he hoped, each family would become self-sufficient. The foundation plans to provide sources of income for the needy through work and business.
Mohammad Tawab, an aid recipient who heads an 18-member family and has a hand disability, hoped his financial situation would improve with the assistance.
