PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Residents say the main highway linking central Logar province with Kabul will be destroyed if the weight of heavy vehicles carrying coal to Pakistan is not controlled.
Niamatullah Rishtin, hailing from Pul-i-Alam, told Pajhwok Afghan News that hundreds of trucks carrying coal to Pakistan plied the Kabul-Logar highway.
He warned the road would be damaged soon if the weight of cargo vehicles was not controlled.
He claimed some parts of the Pul-i-Alam-Mohammad Agha road had already been damaged by overweight trucks.
