KABUL (Pajhwok): A group of Russian companies has shown interest in developing wind, gas, and hydro turbines and investing in generating 30MW of electricity from coal in Afghanistan.
Da Afghanistan BreshnaShirkat (DABS) General Executive Director Mullah Muhammad EssaSaani met with KhamisMakhyanov, head of KR Russian company on Sunday and discussed with him electricity generation in Afghanistan.
Makhyanov expressed interest to invest in electricity generation from coal and develop wind, gas and hydropower turbines in Afghanistan.
The KR group delegation head said that he would soon send his technical engineers with specific proposals to find investment opportunities in power generation areas and take the necessary steps to implement them.
Saani said DABS was committed to cooperation with the Russian group in all areas.
