MoRR secures $10mn aid for IDPs, less fortunate families

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) has inked assistance agreements of more than $10 million for Internally Displaced People, returnees, and power-stricken families.

In a statement, MoRR said it signed the agreements with five institutions (Fighting starvation, aid and solidarity of Afghanistan, Abrar, social work for poverty eradication, and technical and social services).

The source said the value of the aid in the contracts was $10,427,392.

According to the statement, based on the contracts the aiding organizations will provide food, medical assistance, and as well as employment and education to the IDPs, returnees, and poor families.
