KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Investment (ACCI) is expected to discuss gas, oil and wheat supplies with Russian firms.

An ACCI delegation, which is attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), will confer on the supplies with Russian companies.

A Russian media outlet quoted the ACCI deputy chairman as saying: “We plan to meet with oil and gas companies to discuss further cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia.”

The visiting delegates intended to take up wheat supplies with their Russian interlocutors, Mirwais Hotak told the state-run TASS news agency.

The chamber would sign with Roscongress a memorandum of cooperation on the sidelines of SPIEF, he revealed.

Set to be inked on today (June 16), the memorandum of understanding would boost cooperation between the two sides, Hotak added.

Beginning on Wednesday, the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will conclude on June 18. Representatives from more than 90 countries are attending SPIEF.
