KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has said Afghanistan is facing a deep economic, social and humanitarian crisis since the Taliban’s takeover.
However, the caretaker government of Afghanistan does not accept the violations of human rights in the country and says that the rights of the Afghan people are more secure than in the past.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, addressing the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, said Afghanistan was currently facing a deep economic and humanitarian crisis.
