Trans-shipment resumes at Abu Nasar Farahi Port

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Economic Commission has allowed trans-ship activity at Abu Nasar Farahi Port in western Farah province, according to a statement on Friday.

Headed by the acting Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Aide Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, the Economic Commission meeting approved the decision of a committee regarding the resumption of trans-ship activities in Abu Nasar Port.

Earlier, trans-ship was banned due to the import of low-quality and smuggled goods.

Trans-ship stands for the unloading of goods from one ship and its loading into another to complete a journey to a further destination.
