Faryab Public Works official killed by unintentional gunshot

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Public Works Department scale officer in northwestern Faryab province was mistakenly shot dead by one of his office colleagues on Tuesday, an official said.

Information and Cultural Director Mawlavi Shamsullah Muhammadi told Pajhwok Afghan News, Scale and Products Director Ghulam Nabi was killed as a result of accidental firing by Najibullah, another employee in the office.

He said intelligence personnel agents detained Najibullah and was being investigated.

Engineer Ahmad jawed employee of the department says:” Ghulam Nabi and Najibullah were sitting together when suddenly the sound of two shots was heard. We left the branch and saw that Ghulam Nabi felt and Najibullah was standing.”
