MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Two people have been arrested in connection to drug trafficking in the Qarghaiyo district of eastern Laghman province, an official said on Wednesday.
Qarghaio District Chief Mawlavi Noorulhadi Saaram told Pajhwok Afghan News the suspects were arrested with 201 kilograms of hashish in Meshla-Kamra area on Tuesday.
He said the drugs were being transported from Kabul to Nangarhar in the Suzuki vehicle, which was seized by security forces.
It is worth mentioning that on June 17, seven people were arrested in connection to drug trafficking.
