KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar on Wednesday called on relevant departments to deliver assistance to the earthquake-hit people.
According to Pajhwok Afghan News reporters, the earthquake happened at around 1:30 am when people were sleeping
The tremors were felt in Kabul, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktika, Paktia, Laghman, and Nangarhar provinces.
The predawn quake inflicted casualties on hundreds of people, besides causing financial losses.
Baradar’s office tweeted: “The first deputy PM has expressed grave concern over the losses inflicted on citizens in Paktika, Khost and some other provinces.”
