Over 1,090 vulnerable Sar-i-Pul families receive cash assistance

SARI-I-PUL (Pajhwok): The UNOCHA distributed cash assistance among 1,091 less fortunate families in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Wednesday.

Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) Director Sayed Sefatullah told Pajhwok Afgha News: “202 families from Gosfnadi, 225 families from Sozma Qala, 264 families from Sayad districts and 400 more families from Sar-I-Pul city were selected during a survey for this process.”

He added that all these families received the 2nd batch of 7,200 Afs ---- $80 ---financial aid.

Mubina, an aid recipient told Pajhwok Afghan News: “This amount of money could compensate my one-month house expenses, adding that people are poor and needed more aid”.
