OIC cooperation sought in higher edu sector

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Higher Education Minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani has met the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) head and the delegation accompanying him.

Haqqani said Afghanistan had just come out of conflict and direly needed international support in the area of higher education.

Haqqani asked the visiting delegation to ensure Islamic countries’ cooperation with Afghanistan in higher education and other areas.

A Higher Education Ministry delegation recently visited Turkey to strengthen cooperation in the field, get more scholarships for Afghan students and improve links between the two countries.
