KABUL (Pajhwok): A delegation of businesspeople led by the Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry is traveling to Uzbekistan to boost bilateral trade relations.
Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister tweeted that the 26<sup>th</sup> Economic Commission meeting chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar was held today (Monday).
“During the meeting, the Economic Commission directed a joint delegation of businessmen led by the minister of commerce to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan,” the statement added.
Without elaborating, the statement said that after a comprehensive assessment, the Economic Commission also considered as applicable the development procedure by the state-owned Liquefied Natural Gas and Oil Company to newly constructed oil pumps.
According to the statement, the meeting discussed long-term investment by Helmand Nowshirwan Marble Company, the processing of thousands of metric tons of peas as well as the completion of remaining work on the Pashdan Dam in western Herat province.
