KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has issued operational licenses to 91 associations and charity organizations during the past nine months, collecting 875,000 afghanis in revenue.
The ministry in a statement issued on Wednesday said it issued operation licenses to 64 charity organizations during the past nine months. The statement said 59 new licenses were issued and five were renewed.
Licenses were issued to 27 other associations, of which 25 were new licenses and two were renewed.
From the licenses to 91 associations and charities, the Ministry of Justice collected 875000 afghanis revenue and submitted the amount to the Islamic Emirate treasury, the statement said.
During the period, the Ministry of Justice Integration Department monitored the offices and activities of 53 associations and charities and identified more than 40 associations and charities as inactive.
The ministry said it also facilitated the process of certification and reduced the bank statement from more than two million afghanis to 500,000 afghanis for the license of a charitable foundation and issued licenses to real persons in professional and specialized fields.
