KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund has urged ulema and tribal elders to support the existing Islamic system. He questioned the credentials of opponents of the current regime.
In his opening remarks to a grand gathering of religious scholars and tribal elders, Mullah Hassan said all those individuals who fought against mujahidin in the past had woken up after the success of the Taliban and they were still not comfortable.
He added: “Individuals who have destroyed the country over the past 20 years are still busy creating problems despite the fact that we let them off go and created no issue for them.”
Hassan asked the scholars to question the credential of those fighting against the existing system and asked them to assign a cogent reason of their armed resistance.
He warned the enemy inside and outside the country should know that under no circumstances, the IEA would allow disruption and creation of problems.
“Now that an Islamic system has been established, there is a need to work for strengthening it. The Islamic Emirate is trying to remove hurdles in all areas. There may be some issue. If shared with us, they will be resolved,” assured the prime minister.
Head of the gathering Habibullah Haqqani, in his remarks, promised efforts would be made for protecting the national interest and strengthening the Islamic system.
