JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Eight students have been wounded in a grenade blast inside Usman Zunorain Madrasa in the Rodat district of Eastern Nangarhar Province, an official said on Saturday.
Police Spokesperson Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The incident happened at 1:00 am when unknown men hurled a grenade inside Usman Zunorain Madrasa”.
Zubuli added that eight students of the madrasa got injured in the blast and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Security forces have launched investigations to arrest the perpetrators of the attack.
Fazel Hadi, a resident of the locality told Pajhwok Afghan News that the injured were small students, one was in critical condition.
No group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
