TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A journalist was among 67 prisoners released from jail in central Uruzgan province while 128 drug addicts released from jail after their treatment in southern Zabul province and reunited with their families.
Uruzgan police chief Mullah Abdullah Bashir told Pajhwok Afghan News that a reporter was among 67 people released from the central jail. Of the freed individuals, 48 were drug addicts and the rest accused of various crimes.
He said the men were released by a delegation comprising officials of the justice, security and intelligence departments.
