KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs announced on Monday the process of airlifting Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
The ministry said about 13,582 Afghans had reached Makkah to perform the Hajj ritual this year, with each pilgrim paying $4,130.
Fazal Mohammad Hussaini, spokesman for MoHRA, told Pajhwok Afghan News the flight operation came to an end as the last batch of Afghans landed in the oil-rich kingdom.
