KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has decided to issue special stickers and identify routes to passenger vehicles in Kabul according to a statement on Tuesday.
A joint meeting of Traffic Department and Transport Ministry officials was held on how to implement the new strategy and discuss cabinet decisions on the issue.
Dr. Akbar Jan Folad, deputy head of policy and technical issues at the ministry, highlighted the draft strategy, stickers and routes for vehicles and the decision of the cabinet in this regard.
Imamuddin Ahmadi, spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, told Pajhwok Afghan News the draft strategy covered passenger buses, vans and mini-vans operating in Kabul.
Ahmadi added all public transport vehicles would be issued special stickers and they shall operate on special routes for the sake of better traffic management in the capital city.
