GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Officials in southeastern Paktia province say necessary facilities have been provided to tourists in the recreational area of Zazai Aryub district during Eid holidays.
Maulvi Ihsanullah, deputy director of agriculture, told Pajhwok: “The picturesque area is given to a company against 11 million afghanis based on a contract for Eid days in order to provide facilities to tourists.”
He said based on the contract, the company erected 50 tents, established food cooking facilities and accommodation for night.
According to Ehsan, the contractor must pave about six kilometers of road and create electricity system and a parking lot.
Khaleqyar Ahmadzai, director of information and culture, said the number of tourists increased after the facilities were provided.
On the other hand, visitors also urged the government to increase facilities in this recreational area.
MohibullahAtiq, a visitor, told Pajhwok: “Important facilities are set up in ZazaiAroub area this time compared to the past but the prices of food items are high and the government must control them.
