KABUL (Pajhwok): The presidents of Russia and Turkey are likely to meet in the near future on issues of common interest.
The Kremlin said on Monday President Vladimir Putin was scheduled to meet soon his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A statement from the Kremlin press service said the two leaders discussed a range of issues of mutual interest before their planned meeting.
“Special attention was focused on further efforts to … boost trade and use national currencies in mutual settlements
Cited by TASS news agency, the statement said the two sides also conferred on the continuation of unimpeded supplies of Russian energy sources.
Putin and Erdogan agreed to maintain close contacts on these issues between the heads the inter-governmental commission and the ministers concerned.
