PARAKH (Pajhwok): At least two armed men have been killed in the Khenj district of central Panjsher province, a police official said on Wednesday.
Police chief Dad Mohammad Batar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the two armed individuals might have ties to the Resistance Front. The incident took place in Shaba mountain of the district.
Meanwhile, a resident who posed as a member of the Resistance Front and declined to be named, told Pajhwok in a telephone call that the two individuals were killed after being captivated by the forces of the Islamic Emirate.
However, the police chief rejected the claims and said: “It’s wrong to say they were detained before being killed. They ignored calls from the security forces to stop. Later, they were shot dead.”
