Kabul man rescued, kidnapper detained

KABUL (Pajhwok): Intelligence operatives have rescued a man from kidnappers and detained an alleged abductor in limits of the 5^th police district of Kabul.

The General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) tweeted that Dr Muhammad Afzal, who was kidnapped 27 days ago in Afshar area, was rescued during an operation.

The kidnappers had received $30,000 in ransom from the family of Muhammad Afzal, the directorate added.

One kidnapper was arrested and the money recovered from him was handed over to Mohammad Afzal.
