JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Six armed robbers who extorted money and other valuable things from people in the name of police have been arrested in eastern Nangarhar province, the Intelligence Department said on Monday.
The arrested persons were paraded before reporters during a press conference here.
Nangarhar Intelligence Director Dr. Bashir told the press conference that last week security forces arrested six armed robbers who were active in Jalalabad city and different districts.
He added: "These men committed armed robberies in the name of the Islamic Emirate of Mujahideen, and in some areas they used to set up checkpoints in the name . . .
