KABUL (Pajhwok): The second shipment of Russian humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan arrived in the capital Kabul on Wednesday.
The aid was handed over to Ghulam Ghos Nasari, state minister for the Natural Disaster Management Authority, who said a plane carrying 23.5 tonnes of food and non-food items landed in Kabul.
He said the aid would be distributed to recent floods and earthquake victims in the country.
He asked Russia and other countries not to leave Afghanistan alone in this critical condition.
Assistant Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Anton Lavrov Russia’s second shipment of aid to Afghanistan included rice, blanket and tents.
This comes that on July 12th Russia dispatched the first shipment of its humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
