KABUL (Pajhwok): An international conference on the current situation in Afghanistan is set to begin in Tashkent today (Tuesday), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says.
Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesman for the ministry said in a voice message an Afghan delegation led by Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi was attending the two-day event.
Special representatives for Afghanistan from a number of countries and representatives from global organisations are participating in the conference.
Diplomats from the UK, the EU, Iran, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, Norway Pakistan, Russia, the US, Turkey, Japan and other countries are in attendance.
