PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Another delegation of Pakistani tribal elders has arrived in Kabul to resume negotiations with the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The visit comes hard on the heels of a team of religious scholars that returned home a day earlier from Afghanistan after meetings with the militant group’s leadership.

Headed by Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, special assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, the new delegation reached Kabul on Saturday.

A source said noted tribal elders and parliamentarians were part of the team, which would stay in the neighbouring country for four days.

The 12-member team of tribal elders and lawmakers will resume peace talks with the Pakistani Taliban in Afghanistan’s capital, which has hosted several rounds of negotiations between the two sides.
