BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The production of clay dishes and its business has flourished in central Bamyan province, according to industrialists on Monday.
They say that the pottery industry has been revived in this province after a long period of time and currently this industry enjoys a good market.
Amir Askari, one of the producer of clay dishes told Pajhwok: “In current situation pottery industry has a good market and every day the number of customers is on the raise, all the raw material required for the production of clay dishes are available in the province apart from some brushes needed in its painting.”
He added initially due to the lack of facilities and insufficient experience, two people were active in the industry but after two years they were able to hire seven craftsmen and they succeeded in reviving the industry in short period of time.
Muhammad Jawad, one of customer said: “Initially I believed that the clay dishes is part of ancient heritage and could not be used, but after learning about it I purchased them and currently satisfied with its quality.”
