KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan pilgrims’ return operation has been completed with the arrival of the last group at the Kabul airport on Wednesday.
A total of 13,582 Afghan pilgrims performed the hajj ritual this year.
Fazel Mohammad Hussaini, spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, told Pajhwok Afghan News pilgrim return flights had begun on July 15.
He said the last group of Afghan pilgrims arrived at the Kabul airport this morning, marking the completion of the return process.
All facilities had been provided for Afghan pilgrims in Kabul, Makka and Madina, the ministry spokesman claimed.
Based on an agreement with the ministry, Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air (both domestic companies) completed the transportation of Afghan pilgrims.
